This page lists all tool configurations in your system. A tool configuration is a named collection of BC objects — such as API pages, web services, tables, and reports — that an agent is allowed to access. Each configuration controls which objects are available and whether agents may read, create, modify, or delete data through them. You assign a tool configuration to an agent on the agent card's BC Data Connections tab.
In plain terms
A tool configuration is essentially a permission set, but for the AI — a reusable, named bundle of the BC objects an agent may touch (API pages, tables, reports, web services) plus what it may do with each (read only, or create/modify/delete, optionally only on confirmation). A tool is one such object the agent can call.
Think of this as the Permission Sets list: you define a configuration once and reuse it across many agents, just as you'd reuse one permission set across many users. You build the contents on the Tool Configuration Card and attach it to an agent under BC Data Connections.
Why separate from the agent? So you can build, say, a "Read-only Finance" configuration once and reuse it across every finance agent — and tighten it in one place.
How to open it
